This was our second stay at the Royal Chulan. As last time, we spent a couple of day in Kl before leaving for a few days then coming back for a bit more than a week, and they were happy to keep a suitcase of the things we didn't need elsehwere. On asking for a non-smoking room we got upgraded. The rooms were good (the first with a balocny overlooking the pool) and large but the internet was dreadful after our return and their technical guy couldn't fix it. Also the sliding bathroom door banged and the door to the toilet (inside the bathroom) wouldn't quite shut but these were minor problems. Had noisy neighbours with children a couple of night but they quietened down before we got back from dinner so not a worry. The location is excellent for nearby facilities and although not ideal if you need to get around the city a lot as I did, and want to use the LRT rather than taxis, but if you can allow plenty of time it's ok. All the staff go out of their way to be helpful in true Malaysian fashion and there is excellent food (we only used the main restaurant). Overall a good experience and one I would recommend to others.
Restaurant Tip: Several restaurants in the hotel and plenty in the nearby Pavilion mall but take a taxi one night to Suzy's Corner for top quality steak and chips at a bargain price in a different atmosphere.

"This is the second time I've stayed at Rendezvous Grand Hotel Melbourne and we opted here again due to the perfect location. Everything is within walking distance - so convenient for whatever you're planning to do in melbourne. There are also main team lines outside of the hotel and of course, the two train stations are also nearby. Rendezvous is a very old building and the foyer and lower levels have retained their old world charm."

Hotel Niwa Tokyo "The room are new and well-conditioned. There is also a lounge which equips with 2 message chairs and washing machines. The message chair is great for any travelers to relax their tired bodies after a long day. Furthermore the hotel is located 5 minutes away from JR and Suidobashi station. Overall the stay at hotel Niwa was wonderful and pleasant for me and my wife."

Kana N. - Solo Traveller Based Japan
"The Ramada Plaza Hotel Milan may be a slight walk (about 10 mins) from the Turro station. But for the price we paid, the accomodation was superb. Rooms are fresh, modern. The staff is very professional. They have free wi fi and superb breakfast consisting of pretty much everything one would want. The neighborhood is mostly middle class housing and quite safe. we walked through it even at 12AM."

"The Royale Chulan Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of the best hotels we've stayed in. The warmth and attentiveness of the hotel staff is commendable. The rooms were clean, very spacious, had great amenities, and we enjoyed the very comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of local fruits, local cuisine, and good options for continental cuisine as well. Then LOCATION . . . fantastic location for great shopping! It's just a short leisurely 10 minute stroll to KLCC and the Petronas; then a 5 minute walk to the Pavilion Mall, Fahrenheit 88, and Lot 10."
Shopping Tip: Bukit Bintang - don't miss the shops of Pavilion Mall, Fahrenheit 88, and Lot 10. Too many shops, too many great deals, too little time.

"We were warmly welcomed at the Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park from the minute we walked in. Rooms were a good size and were quiet and dark. Buffet breakfast had great choices for everyone. Hotel was superbly located next to football stadium. Terrific bar area also. The Pullman is a comfortable size without being too big. Overall a terrific experience."

This is the second time we have stayed at the Shangri-La in Sydney & it's for a good reason. Location-wise it is in a prime spot - minutes walk to circular quay, amazing views of the Harbour and right in the heart of The Rocks. We stayed in an Opera view room (with access to the Horizon club) which was spacious and was as described... nice view of the Opera House. Service was good with the staff genuinely making an effort to meet everyone's needs. Upgrade to the Horizon club is well worth it if anything, for the fantastic view of the harbour bridge & opera house. Would definitely come here again.
Hotel Feature Tip: Upgrade to the Horizon Club

"The Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok really lived up to its name with great service and wholesome experience. Our stay included a visit to it's rooftop restaurant bar, Vertigo with nice view as well as the gym and pool. Room came with its signature essential oil and incense, which was well thought as it further build on their branding. Definitely revisit during my next trip to bangkok."

"We stayed in De La Paix Hotel in Geneve in the end of March 2009, there was still cold but we made some small walk around the center. This hotel has rather convenient location very close to everything (lake, bridges, central square, shops etc.). There's very good restaurant just in the hotel which is in the Michelin's restaurants listing. Also very tasty food from room service menu; good breakfast. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the hotel, nice service. The only thing there's no gym or any SPA salon. In general very good for reasonable price."
Restaurant Tip: High quality food from room service menu; Michelin's restaurant in the hotel.

The Anggun Boutique Hotel Kuala Lumper"The Anggun Hotel is boutique style hotel with a very relaxed and friendly feel in both its appearance and staff. I stayed in a classic room with a double bed, which well apportioned compared to other hotels I have stayed in. Although I didn’t order breakfast with my booking, a good choice breakfast was still available at a reasonable cost. The most surprising thing was a refund I received at checkout from international phone call I made. I don’t know how many hotels would have done that! I’m planning on another trip to KL next year and will definitely book into the Anggun again."
Shopping Tip: Hotel is within easy walking to close several shopping centres including the twin towers.

JW MARRIOTT JAKARTA "The location is excellent, Jakarta central and the staff very professional. We reached hotel at 2am, and there were still a lot of people to welcome us. Very clean and spacious room, quiet and with a nice view. The breakfast was excellent, a lot of choices and staff still very friendly, with a large smile and very committed. I stayed there for business, will come back next time for leisure, and enjoy the swimming pool (I think it is a roof top swimming pool). You can book without any hesitation"

Gran Meliά Jakarta "It was very pleasant to stay in this hotel. It's worth its 5stars. The staff were very accommodating and attentive from the moment we arrived at the hotel. All our concerns were addressed very well and the staff anticipated our needs. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious and there were a lot of choices. The staff even allowed us to stay more than half a day for only half the price to accommodate our flight schedule. All in all, it's a hotel we're sure to come back to when we visit Jakarta again."

Royal Plaza Hotel Hong Kong
I like the newly renovated rooms. It's very clean and spacious. Very impressed with the see through concept for toilet as u can even watch the tv while soaking in the bath tub. Staff is friendly too. We were also given ear plugs so that we will not be disturbed by the ongoing renovations from 9am to 7pm.
